Updated Litagion agents based on newly published science
In this release, all Litagion agent profiles have been updated to reflect recently published peer-reviewed literature. We provide more detail on the impacts this literature had to the general causation risk score (GC risk score) for the Litagion agents below. The general causation score measures the extent to which peer-reviewed scientific literature supports a hypothesis that a particular Litagion agent causes bodily injury or property damage.
- Perfluorononanoic acid (PFNA) and Perfluorohexane sulfonate (PFHxS): A recent study found that women with higher levels of PFNA and PFHxS in their blood had increased odds of reporting irregular menstrual cycles. Similar results were found for PFOA and PFOS.
- Pyrethrin insecticides: A study tracking childhood neurodevelopment found prenatal exposure to certain pyrethrin pesticides impacted the behavioral skills of 6-year-olds.
In addition, we like to highlight the most significant changes in the overall risk for the Litagion agents as the result of recently published peer-reviewed literature. However, with this release, no Litagions agents had changes in overall risk categorization.
Optimized landing page with search and improved navigation: Get to the information you want faster
With this release, a new search bar now is centrally located on the landing page. Users can quickly search for what they want by Companies, Litagion Profiles, Industries, Damages, or Scenarios, without having to navigate within the site. First, select the category you want to search within and then get to information you want faster. For example, in the screenshot below, Companies has been selected from the list of categories.
New icons for each category optimize the landing page for users by providing detailed, up front explanations of each category without having to click on a category. Also, the date of the most recent updates is now clearly visible under the new search bar.
Additionally, the breadcrumb trail is now emphasized within a grey scale box for heightened visibility to allow users to more quickly locate it and navigate within a category. For example, below is a screen shot of the improved breadcrumb trail for the company Alcoa Inc.
Improved accessibility to explanatory information: Helps you more deeply understand Praedicat data, visualization and analytics
Praedicat is committed to updating CoMeta to improve our users' experiences with this product and to provide more detailed explanations of data, visualizations and analytics over the upcoming release cycles. The first of these updates is described below:
For example, In the Industry and Litagion Profiles under the Size section, a detailed explanation of the Exceedance Probability Curve has been provided so that the users have a more thorough understanding of the Exceedence Probability Curve and will be able to make more use of the data and analytics provided.
For example, In the Litigation Risk Quadrant Chart, a user can click on a new information icon ("i") next to the x or y axis labels for a detailed explanation. The screenshot for Litigation Risk Quadrant Chart for Bisphenol A (BPA) below illustrates how a user can easily discover the definition of the term "general causation risk" on the y-axis:
Additionally, the explanatory text following the Litigation Risk Quadrant Chart has been improved to provide the user with a more thorough understanding of the chart. Select the word More as shown below to see additional text:
Then, a modal dialog appears that provides a user with a detailed definition of the Litigation Risk Quadrant chart, relevant terms, and how to understand the data without having to navigate away from page to seek a deeper understanding of the information provided.
